The 2019 Highland Hero awards were officially launched today. The Highland Hero awards recognise people throughout the Highlands who make a real difference either to their communities – or our healthcare, education, safety and wellbeing.
We are absolutely delighted to be the proud sponsors of the Community Champion of the Year award, for the second year running. Last year, this category was won by Nicola McAlley who was presented on the night by Sarah Lilley, Director at Innes & Mackay.
The Community Champion of the Year award celebrates an individual who has made a significant contribution to their community.
This award really resonated with us, as it goes hand in hand with the ethos here at Innes & Mackay – to give back to the local area in any additional way we can. We have been established as a firm for 145 years this year, and as a recognised name we have a great platform to work from and feel it is our responsibility to support the local area, to give something back and show our appreciation to our wonderful clients!
Nominations are now open for the 15 categories, ranging from ‘Teacher of the year’, ‘Public servant of the Year’ and everything in between.
Everyone here at Innes & Mackay would encourage the public to get involved by nominating as this is the perfect opportunity to recognise and truly celebrate those individuals that are bringing the best to their local areas. Closing date for nominations is Saturday 31st August.
We are very much looking forward to meeting the nominees and winners on what will no doubt be a special and memorable evening for all involved.
